Our newest team member has finally arrived.  Miss Emmaline Azalea Squier was born at 12:40 on Saturday morning.  We went in around 5:30 on friday morning.  I had enough time to do the normal morning chores, but we had to call in reinforcements for milking.  Besides being too long for meadow’s taste it went really

CSA Week 2

Another week and more stuff is going in the ground and popping up to be harvested.  The peas have a bouquet of flowers getting ready to explode with their sweet pods.  Our early potatoes are looking pretty good and with luck we should be able to work out a week of new potatoes and peas

2016 CSA Week 1

May has flown by for us but we are ready for our first week of CSA shares with lots of greens to help us transition from spring to summer.  We had an easier time getting out earlier stuff this spring with more open land ready to be planted and the new greenhouse we built

Wreath Season in Vermont

The holiday season is just around the corner.  For us that means wreath season is here.  I harvested a truckload full of balsam bows on Tuesday. Instead of cutting the trees down low, I cut them around chest height keeping a few green branches on the left over stump. Those few branches respond the the

New Day and a New Site

The winter we moved back to Tinmouth, I started building a website using Wordpress as the skeleton. I didn't really know what I was doing but with the help of Meadow's cousin Nate we managed to make something half decent. There were lots of errors and things that I never liked. It was hard to
